”Our home is the #1 place where you are being marinated with toxins.” This was how our guest Mahwish Syed this week on the Quantum Healthy podcast began the interview. She is an award-winning fashion and interior designer, acclaimed author, and cancer survivor. Poised at the intersection of health, healing, and the transformative power of design, she creates spaces that transcend aesthetics to nourish the soul and promote a healthy environment.
Mahwish graced us with this second interview to enlighten us on what it takes to have a healthy beautiful home and wardrobe, looking at both through the quantum lens. We learned that what is considered good for the environment is not equated always with what is healthy for us. She shares how she audits the materials and possessions we own and wear to ensure they are toxin-free. Bamboo silk, vegan leather, Lululemon-type workout gear are just a few of the items she commented on. She provided us with so many recommendations and simple fixes in this episode.
The Newest Design Feature for a Healthy Home in 2024
Toxins are usually thought of through the chemical lens and how those toxins can bioaccumulate in the body and cause mitochondrial damage. There is also another lens to look at toxins – through the energy lens. We have toxins in our environment called non-native electromagnetic frequencies (nnEMFs) and if you follow me, you know its my passion to educate on them as they seem innocuous with their silence, invisibility and lack of odour, but they are anything but innocuous as previously thought as non-ionizing radiation. In this episode with Mahwish, we take a look at toxins through both the chemical and energy lens. I foresee designers working with Building Biologists that specialize in minimizing nnEMFs to make elegant and healthier homes.
Our 1st Repeat Guest
Mahwish is our 1st guest to come back again on the podcast and we are already foreseeing a 3rd interview as she has so much to teach us. You can check out the first interview Episode 13 Purgatory to Paradise: Healing Cancer, Finding Self, and Quantum Living with Mahwish Syed where she shares her story of overcoming cancer with grace, beauty and alignment. I wrote about this in my blog article Purgatory to Paradise: Healing Cancer with Grace & Beauty and mentioned her book Purgatory to Paradise that inspired me so much in my own tibia recovery journey Thank you for those that gave me feedback on it; I did get more personal and philosophical with that blog article and it was healing for me to do so.

Quick LauraKissmannWellness Update
Though I am still on crutches (Day 55 I think), my new Quantum Health Coaching and Group Coaching pages have been approved by my incredibly talented and creative web designer Crystal O’Connell! (SimplicityandDesign.com) They should be posted this week on my website. A shout out also to Jessica Clifford (Studio Je T’aime) and Michaela Trykarova for your photoshoots! I will be forever grateful to you three to help showcase what I do with such clarity, creativity and beauty.
Group Coaching
I am now officially building the waitlist for the “Quantum Radiance Collective” Group Coaching to begin January 2025. This is $22/month – a small investment for all you will learn and apply as we proceed through 2025 together. Its a great option for past, current and new clients that want to grow their knowledge of Quantum Nutrition, Hydration, Circadian biology,,etc and have some group accountability.
Personalized Coaching
I am currently personally coaching clients (though I had to take 6 weeks off after the break/surgery). I now have five 1:1 personalized Quantum Health package options to serve you better. It is all clearly laid out on the new Quantum Health Coaching page. But please know that with getting more reach with the podcast, I have limited spaces for my bigger packages of Full Bloom (6 months) and Blossom (3 months). Bottom Line – don’t wait too long to commit if these packages are calling you.
