The best way to define Holistic Nutrition is a health care system based on integrating the physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional and spiritual components of someone’s life. It emphasizes personal responsibility and a cooperative relationship between practitioner and client. In promoting a lifestyle that identifies food, movement, rest, play, family & friends as medicine, Holistic Nutrition can help people return to their optimal state of health and well-being.
What is an R.H.N.?
A Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.) is a graduate of the Natural Nutrition Program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) who has been trained in natural nutrition. The program consists of 17 courses, covering natural nutrition relevant to each stage of life, as well as sciences, research and fundamentals of business. It also includes the connection between body, mind and spirit as an integral and important part of these studies as it is scientifically demonstrated that our state of mind and spiritual wellbeing affect our physical health.
R.H.N.s are dedicated professionals, who create individualized whole foods, lifestyle, and supplement plans for their clients, empowering their clients to achieve optimal health. Holistic nutritionists endorse the promotion of whole, locally grown organic foods, sustainable farming practices, and a non-toxic environment.
